Accreditation & Reaffirmation Statement
Georgia State University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, educational specialist, and doctorate . Georgia State University also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. Georgia State University’s SACSCOC accreditation was reaffirmed in 2019. In addition, GSU submitted a substantive change report to SACSCOC in 2016 concerning the consolidation of GSU and the former Georgia Perimeter College.
