State Authorization and Consumer Complaints
Universities are required to meet state regulations around the country in order to offer classes and degrees to students in various states. As an institutional-participant in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA), and as an SACSCOC-accredited public institution, Georgia State University has met authorization requirements or is exempt from seeking authorization for the states, districts and territories listed below.
The state authorization process is dynamic and subject to change. As such, Georgia State University continues to monitor the development of state laws in every state and will update information on this site accordingly. If authorization or licensure is necessary or becomes necessary, Georgia State University will obtain the required additional approvals. If you do not reside in one of the states listed, you may consider attending classes on-site.
